Ms. Jernigan
My name is Ms. Jernigan. I started my teaching career at the Primary Academic Center, where I taught first, second, and third grades. During that time, I worked with the best teachers in the profession, who I consider family.
I am beginning my 11th year at PHJH. I taught 6th grade ELA for 7 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, a master’s degree in Instructional Leadership, a master’s degree in reading as a Reading Specialist, along with a master's in Educational Administration. I am also a Certified Gifted Educator. This year I will continue as the Academic Dean for the Junior High.
I strive to give the best education possible to our children at Prairie Hills Junior High School. I have high expectations for all our students and require that they show effort and pride in their work and themselves.
