My name is Dr. Mohamed Elnatour, and I am delighted to be joining the S.T.E.A.M. Academy and the PLC Schools’ community to serve as your new principal. I will be dedicated and passionate in my commitment to doing what is in the best interest of our beloved students. I will always put students first and work diligently to ensure their success.
My professional background is rooted in education, leadership, and community support. In the past, I have worked as a school leader, teacher, faculty member, and community advocator.
In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest accomplishment is my family. I am a father of eight and a grandfather to six wonderful grandchildren. As a parent and a principal, I always want what is best for the children, and will work tirelessly to ensure that your children have the best possible learning experiences at S.T.E.A.M. Academy and at the PLC.
My education philosophy is, "Students First, At All Times," and I believe that all children should receive an exemplary education in an environment that is safe and conducive to their learning. I can assure you that I share the educational community’s commitment to caring for your children every day while providing them with a valuable learning experience.
Although I have always felt at home in the classroom, it is in my position as a principal where I have been most fulfilled in my life’s work. The principal role provides me with the chance to work collaboratively with teachers on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to the students’ learning and growth in the classroom. I firmly believe that every child can excel, and that the partnership between home and school has the ability to build confidence in students to use their power to shape their future, the future of our community, and our nation at large. Together, we can help our children go above and beyond, and provide them with an education that helps them achieve their greatest dreams.
Our first Meet and Greet (Principal Night) opportunity will take place on August 15, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at S.T.E.A.M. Academy. Light refreshments will be served at the event. Please do your best to join us at this evening.
To our students, I cannot wait to meet you all! I hope that you are excited for this coming school year and that you are out this summer playing and reading your favorite books with your family. It is going to be a fun year learning together. If you are nearby the school at all this summer, please stop by and say hello!
I am honored and humbled to serve as the new principal for S.T.E.A.M. Academy and the PLC, and look forward to meeting our children, teachers, parents, and community members. My door is always open to you, and welcome your feedback and support. I sincerely welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2023-2024 school year.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer!
