Ms. Lara is a talented teacher who gets the job done. This is her 4th year in the district. She always has a positive demeanor and is a great mentor. The relationships she builds with her students is out of caring and dedication. She always listens to them no matter what the issue, it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong. She understands that everyone has a voice. Ms. Lara always pushes her students to do their very best. Her sincerity is genuine and her students witness it every day. Even when you log on to her Google Classroom, students start every day with a positive message and encouraging song just to uplift the spirit. Her fun loving nature can be seen in how she decorates her classroom and the innovative ideas she presents. Ms. Lara truly is what we strive to embody here at Chateaux – loving, caring and family! Ms. Nitza Adrianzen is very excited to come back to the Fieldcrest community. She has been working in elementary and middle school for over 11 years. Ms. Adrianzen has experience working with bilingual, ESL, and Special Education. She loves working with students from different cultures, especially newcomers to this country. Her love for teaching is immense that she always give 100% and does her best to help students learn. She is originally from Peru. She has been living in Chicago since she came to the United States of America. Ms. Adrianzen is fluent in Spanish and English and she can understand a little Portuguese. She has a beautiful teenage daughter, and she will be graduating high school next year. She enjoys learning and sharing things about other cultures. She loves to travel and try different foods from different places. Dancing and listening to music are her favorite habits. Both relax her a lot and motivate her to do things in her life. She considers herself an excellent dancer, especially in salsa and merengue! She wants to thank all the staff from Fieldcrest and everybody has welcomed her and are supportive! She feels happy in her first year back at Fieldcrest. She loves working in such a positive school environment.

“Teacher of the Month” goes to…. (Drum Roll Please) … Ms. Olbera! Ms. Olbera has been actively involved in district 144 for several years. Ms. Olbera is our resource teacher at Highlands, and she ensures all students receive their services to improve their academics in reading and math. Ms. Olbera also goes the extra mile and supports in all subject areas to assist all students who need extra support. Because M.s Olbera cares so much for all of our students to succeed in all aspects of their life, she is also one of the coordinators for our PBIS program (Ensuring students stay focused on being respectful, responsible and safe). Ms. Olbera also helps mentor some of our teachers in the SPED department. She ensures their IEP’s are finalized correctly and include every child’s services. Ms. Olbera also schedules our monthly meetings for IEPs. You can also see Ms. Olbera providing support during A.M. duty and during our intermediate student’s lunch time. Congratulations Ms. Olbera! Keep believing in our children, because we believe in YOU! We appreciate ALL you DO!

Dr. Harwell is the school nurse at Mae Jemison School. She is always willing to help, and she goes above and beyond for the students in our school. Her positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with staff make a great contribution to our school community. In addition, as stated by one staff member, "She has been a true hero with all that pertains to COVID-19." Dr. Harwell helps to make Mae Jemison School a wonderful place to be.

Ms. Bilich Is Markham Park first grade Teacher and this is her first year at our school and in the district. The staff love Ms. Bilich and says that she is always cheery and bubbly. It’s her first year but you could never tell because she fits in so well. She speaks up and voices her opinion and thoughts we hope to have you around for a while. Ms. Cieplucha has been teaching in Prairie-Hills District #144 for 19 years and has taught 3rd through 7th grade. She loves using technology and innovative ideas to create exciting lessons, and enjoys participating in school/district events with her students. Ms. Cieplucha enjoys spending time with her dogs, family, and friends in her free time. She has taken a few road trips with her dogs to different states and likes to take them to the park and other places on the weekends. Her hobbies include: going places with her dogs, dining out with friends, participating in 5K/10K races on the weekends, playing piano, going to Starbucks, and…. shopping! Her two favorite restaurants are The Cheesecake Factory and Wildfire.

With teaching for 19 years, Mrs. Roberts truly adores and appreciates the art & passion of teaching and learning. Having taught 2nd Grade, 5th Grade, and being a Literacy Coach has helped her to influence and cultivate the minds of young and old alike. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, shopping, and eating at new restaurants. Mrs. Roberts is married to Mr. Evan Roberts and they have 1 son, Gavin. She, along with her husband Evan, have created Khahari Discovers and The Khahari Jr. children’s book series (ejr.books.com), which was created and dedicated on behalf of their son, Gavin Khahari. Mrs. Roberts is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She is also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She served as Co-Chair of the English Language Arts Department for 3 consecutive years. Currently, she serves as a Team Leader for 7th Grade and a member of PHJH School Leadership Team, as well as a Mentor for the District Teacher Mentor program.
