Meet the Teacher
Meredith Olds began her schooling at the University of Illinois. After completing one year, she decided to return home and take classes at Governor's State University. While working towards completing her degree, she decided to "get her feet wet" in education and worked as a teacher's assistant for 7 years in the Matteson School District. During this time, she completed her schooling at Trinity Christian College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Soon after, she accepted a position at Fieldcrest School in Prairie Hills School District 144 where she has worked as a 2nd grade teacher since 2014. It is only fitting that she has been teaching the same grade that she was in when her dream to become a teacher first materialized, AND also in the same school district where her mom began her teaching career.
