Hi! My name is Nancy Kristin, I am a Literacy Coach at Mae Jemison Elementary. As Literacy Coach, I provide reading intervention to struggling readers, support for classroom teachers with literacy education as well as professional development to strengthen and enhance their knowledge and craft, and I also work closely with the administrative team, Principal Jennings and Assistant Principal Ms. Cieplucha, on various school initiatives.

I am happy to work with great administrators, teachers, and staff, but it's the students that I enjoy working with the most. I am fortunate to know and interact with all Mae J students! 

I have worked for Prairie Hills School District 144 for 28 years. I started my career at Fieldcrest as a 6th grade teacher, and then as a Literacy Coach. I moved over to Mae Jemison in 2011 and have worked with the amazing teachers, students and the community here.
