    Greetings Everyone,

     

    Welcome back to a new school year!

     

    I’m Ms. Lott, a kindergarten teacher at Mae Jemison School.  

    I have 15 years of experience as a licensed educator. My teaching career began 24 years ago as a teacher aide in a Head Start/Preschool Program. The experience inspired me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and become a  prekindergarten teacher. I served in that role 1 year before joining the faculty team here at Prairie Hills School District. Soon after, I obtained a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. For the past 11 years, kindergarten has been my home but I have also taught first and second grade.

    In my classroom, students will have fun learning experiences that support academic and social emotional advancement. I am looking forward to building meaningful relationships with my students and their families.
