    Please be sure to ask your students(Grades K-5=Lexile Level from i-Ready) for independent reading-level books. 

    Your students' independent reading level will have various titled stories that your student can read during class, at home, or check out at the library.  Also, ask them about stories they are reading with their class & small group to help them retell the stories and to gain a better understanding of all that takes place in the literature(Fiction & Non-Fiction). 

    Students can also practice the Dolch Sight Word list to better their reading, spelling, and word attack skills.  Make sure your student reads 10–15 minutes daily of a favorite book or a read-aloud with family.
