District 144 IMSA enrolls academically talented students in an advanced and rigorous program that allows them to encounter inquiry-based hands-on projects. The PHSD 144 IMSA program fosters imagination, creativity, investigative thinking and provides a unique and challenging education for students in grades 4 - 8. Each of the students selected for the application process met the expected assessment criteria and show a strong interest in mathematics and science. On Monday, August 18, 2014, the Prairie-Hills Elementary School District 144 staff returned to school renewed and prepared to provide an educational environment that will meet the expectations of the parents, the district, state, and local communities. Promoting school spirit and motivating students to be successful, Prairie-Hills Junior High Principal, Mr. Kenndell Smith, continues to meet with all of the PHJH scholars each morning.
