Welcome to 1st Grade!
Dear Parent(s) & Guardian(s),
Welcome back! My name is Ms. Radcliff, and I am so excited to be new member of the Highlands 1st grade team. More importantly, I am ECSTATIC to be your child’s teacher! Although, this year has thrown us some curve balls, here at Highlands we are still dedicated to uplifting and motivating our students to excellence. Whether your child is coming in-person or remote, I am looking forward to building strong personable relationships with them, but even stronger connections to their learning. While enhancing the academic, social, and creative skills of each student, I will also ensure that their learning is fun and intriguing!
Parent involvement is ESSENTIAL to each student’s learning and success, just as much as their teacher is. With your guidance, students are able to successfully meet expectations given by the district, principal, and myself. I encourage all parents to communicate with me anytime about the status of their child’s academics. With you all knowing your child’s abilities, together we can make this school year awesome! Attached I have discussed my disciple plan, please discuss the expectations with your child.
Please review and sign the student handbook by September 4, 2020! Students will receive the option to dress down on September 4, 2020, ONLY if they return their signed handbooks. On September 23, 2020, parents are invited to attend a virtual Meet the Teacher Night where curriculum, expectations, and routines will be discussed.
I am extremely grateful to be your child’s educator this year, and I look forward to the school year ahead!
