• Hello and welcome to Mrs. Mackley’s 8th Grade Honors English Language Arts class! I am excited to begin the year with your students as we dive deep into various genres of literature. I am entering my fifth year at PHJH and my sixth year in education. I am a National Board Candidate and hope to be certified by December. My favorite novel to teach is The Giver by Lois Lowry. In my free time, I enjoy reading memoirs, trying new coffee shops, and hiking new nature trails.

     

    All assignments and study materials can be found in my Google Classroom. Please be sure to check your emails for a weekly update announcement from me to all parents. 

     

    I believe a child has the best chance to succeed when they have a strong and supportive home and school environment. I will ensure all students will have a safe and equitable learning space in my classroom, and I look forward to working with you to ensure their best chances of success.
