    Meet Ms. Watkins!

    708-335-9770 ext. 2708

Welcome to Nob Hill's Best!  My name is Ms. Watkins and I am the Literacy Coach at Nob Hill School.  I have been a teacher in Prairie-Hills ESD 144 for 11 years.  I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2007 with a B.S in Early Childhood Services with a Type 04 certificate.  Following graduation, I started my education career at Markham Park School as a first grade teacher.  My most memorable and precious moments were when I taught first grade for 6 years.  Spring 2013, I received my Masters in Reading at Concordia University with a Type 10 certificate.  In August 2013, I transitioned to  a new position as the Literacy Coach at Markham Park School.  In 2014, I transferred and officially became a Nob Hill Tiger!  As the Literacy Coach, I monitor the progress of Tier II/III students in Reading RtI and provide small-group/one-on-one instruction to Tier III students.  I provide additional instruction to small groups for enhancement.  Many other responsibilities include providing professional development & coaching to teachers and assisting the principal in many tasks.  I am Nob Hill School's Second-in-Command, the Internal PBIS Coach, an afterschool program teacher for primary students and I'm involved in various committees within our school.  You may see my familiar face with my hands involved in many different things.  The most rewarding part of it all is that everything I do at Nob Hill is for our students whom I love dearly!
