Greetings PHSD 144 Families and Community,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Director of Student Services. I have spent the last 20 years working in this wonderful community as a special education teacher, supporting our youngest learners and their families. My time in the classroom has taught me every child learns in their own unique way, and I am dedicated to making sure all children feel safe, valued, and set up for success from day one.

I graduated from Western Illinois University with my BA in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Special Education Endorsement and a Master’s Degree in Principal Preparation. I have recently completed my Director of Special Education Endorsement and am excited to step out of the classroom and work in a role that expands my ability to support more children and families.

The Student Service Department believes that all children are exceptional. Every child has his or her own unique gift that makes them extraordinary. The Department of Student Services exists to design and deliver quality support to students, educators, families and the community, for the success of students with disabilities.

My personal goal is to build strong partnerships between home and school to help children thrive. My door is always open for your thoughts, questions, and feedback.
