I am very excited to be returning as a member of the Highlands School team as the Music Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year!

    A little about me......
I attended the University of Evansville in Southern Indiana for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in Music Education with a Major in Percussion and a Minor in Piano. I also attended VanderCook College of Music in Chicago for my graduate work, where my concentration was in woodwinds and percussion. This is my 17th year teaching music and I have taught K-12 band, choir, and general music, as well as art and reading at various public, private, and charter schools all around the Chicagoland area.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking and cooking, and hanging out with my family. My 11 year old son plays piano, plays cello and steel pan in the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, particpates in a local Rock School, and is entering the 6th grade this year, so we stay busy with his schedule as well.
I am extremely happy to continue to call Prairie Hills School District and Highlands School home!!!!

I look forward to continue getting to know the students, parents, and community of Highlands School and hope to see you very soon!
